Lutheran Services of Florida Health Systems awarded LifeStream Behavioral Center the contract for Citrus County Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services.
LifeStream, the mental health provider for Lake and Sumter Counties, will provide a comprehensive array of behavioral health services to meet the needs of the residents of Citrus County. The comprehensive system of care encompasses a central assessment and evaluation center, crisis stabilization and detox services, residential treatment, case management (including forensic,) drop-in services, outpatient therapy, medication management, prevention, outreach and intervention. Together with community stakeholders, LifeStream is committed to develop a plan to address the current and future needs of the county as they relate to behavioral health issues.
Jon Cherry, CEO of LifeStream said, “We are committed to providing quality behavioral health services and earning the confidence of Citrus County residents.” The contract takes effect October 1 and while negotiations are not finalized, Lutheran Services indicated the contract is worth about $2.6 million.
